Environmental ethics is the code of behavior for guiding and controlling human actions towards environment. This code of behavior does not depend on the presence or absence of environmental laws for the understanding, protection and improvement of the environment. It was found that the mean scores of Tribal Boys and Tribal Girls were 141.24 and 151.43 with Standard Deviations 42.13 and 44.37 respectively. The obtained ‘t’ value between the two groups came out to be 2.02 which is more than the table value i.e., 1.646 at 0.05 level and less than 2.581 at 0.01 level of significance. It revealed that there is significant difference in both the groups. It also revealed that tribal girls secondary school students have more dispositions about the environment than the tribal boys secondary school students. Hence, the null hypothesis of the present study “There is no significant difference between secondary school boys and girls students with respect to environmental disposition” is rejected. It means that the girls at secondary school level have more environmental disposition than the boys.

The purpose of present study was to investigate gender differences in defensive pessimism and self-handicapping along with their relationship among secondary school students’. The sample of the study was 10th grade 200 secondary school students, selected randomly from four randomly selected government school in Haryana. The data was collected with the help of two scales: defensive pessimism and self-handicapping. The defensive pessimism scale was constructed to measure reflectivity and defensive expectations thus providing two dimensional scores and their summated value for defensive pessimism score. On the other hand, Hindi version of self-handicapping scale (Jones & Rhodewalt,1982) was used for the study. The t-test result shows that there is no significant gender difference in defensive pessimism both in testing of reflectivity, and defensive expectations along with total defensive pessimism of secondary school students. Whereas female secondary school students had significantly higher level of selfhandicapping, thereby indicating girl students. Further the relationship between selfhandicapping and defensive pessimism was not significant across gender groups of secondary school students, suggesting that both the variables do not relate with each other. The implications of the study have been laid down in the light of these results on gender differences in defensive pessimism and self-handicapping among secondary school students.

Use of ICT continually helpful for personal growth, diverse thinking, problem solving and for collaborative leaning. It has even minimized the gap for those with special needs by providing individual access to essential material to fulfill their educational needs. We get to know its benefits during pandemic when everyone has to work from home and without ICT it was quite impossible for them to continue their routine work. Even teaching and learning remain confined through online mode. Due to paradigm shift from offline to virtual learning environment, educational institutions may include ICT based assessment to monitor the students learning progress. It is important to understand the increasing role of ICT to enhance assessment and evaluation process. The present paper focuses on the performing role of ICT in assessment in the present scenario of virtual environment.
